My accountant said something that has really stuck with me. He said you can't spend more money than you make. Hmmm...has he not been reading the newspaper? Or maybe what he really meant to say is that you shouldn't spend more money than you make. It made me wonder how many of us even know what that number is? I mean after paying all of our bills, how many of us have ever figured out - down to the day - how much money can we spend each day? And it also made me wonder how can we tell if we're going over that number before it's too late?
Our goal at Wealth Watchers International is to help people set and track a daily goal for spending and saving. Because what I've learned is this. If you wait until the end of the month, it's too late. And if you wait until the end of the year, it's way too late. This is one of those things where every day and every dollar really do make a difference.
Hopefully this blog will help us all share ideas and encouragement to help each other be smart about how we choose to spend our money. I'd love to hear your ideas - or maybe even something that you've seen someone else do that's worked out.
Thanks for your input,
Alice
